Intruder! Intruder!

Post by 12AM » Tue Apr 25, 2017 12:39 pm

A poem about psychosis. Each stanza represents a different type of hallucination and delusion, to name them in order : Visual hallucination - Auditory hallucination - Olfactory hallucination - Tactile hallucination - Gustatory hallucination - Delusion.

Intruder! Intruder!
Shadows are dancing and blurring my sight
Blinding my eyes and then stealing their light

Intruder! Intruder!
Reapers are screaming loud into my ears
Playing my requiem broadcasting fears

Intruder! Intruder!
Flames are burning my brain my hair my nails
Claiming a trophy when holy pill fails

Intruder! Intruder!
Spiders are running fast under my skin
Preying my stomach and organs within

Intruder! Intruder!
Liquors are thick now in shades of deep red
Serving best wine for men without a dread

Intruder! Intruder!
Demons hunt my spirit like maniac
I'm endlessly trapped in this cul de sac

If it were me personally rather than beginning each stanza with "Intruder! Intruder!" I'd end with it. I love it though, it's really cool and also so very powerful
